Although the speculation relating to the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko continues, it appears we may see a player leave before the deal to bring Bakayoko is completed.

According to the extremely well-respected news vehicle The Times, Antonio Conte will authorise the sale of Nemanja Matic first.

Matic, as we`re all aware, is wanted by Jose Mourinho, at Manchester United, reports we`ve covered earlier this week, suggest the 28-year-old is keen on a reunification with his former boss.

The reasoning behind the move is that selling Matic will provide some financial oomph and accelerate the signing of the Monaco player who is rated in the £40+ million bracket.

But is it a move fraught with danger?

Surely, we`re not naïve enough to let Matic go without having some acceptable reassurance from Bakayoko that he will become a Chelsea player?

I`d certainly like to think so.
