Now no longer part of the scene at Chelsea, Josh McEachran was hoping to make a significant impression in his new career at Griffin Park.

The 22-year-old, who when he broke through into the first team picture as a teenager was touted as a future Chelsea star, moved to Brentford, on a permanent deal, this summer.

Here at Vital Chelsea, as we sometimes do, we were looking to keep an eye on the midfielder to see if his career can flourish in the Championship, as many of our readers have suggested it could very well do.

Unfortunately, Josh has been side-lined by an injury.

Reports suggest that whilst taking part in a training session, the slightly built midfielder clashed with the giant that is Toumani Diagouraga.

At first the collision looked innocuous but it turns out that Josh has broken some bones in his foot and will miss the first 3 months of the new season, prompting the Brentford manager to remark about the situation,

“It was an accident – but bad news for the club and squad. It seemed like nothing happened.”

Here at Vital Chelsea we`d like to wish Josh a speedy recovery.
