On loan Chelsea youngster Michael Mancienne is seen by many here at Vital-Chelsea as a key defensive player for the future.
The key word there being future.
After being in the squad for the past few weeks during our injury crisis, he has now been sent on loan to Wolverhampton.
Here is what he had to say about learning from two of the best in the business.
“Just watching the passion he (John Terry) has in training makes you learn. He hates losing and that passion is always there, he always wants to be a winner.
“Every training session, he gives it absolutely everything. He`s England
captain and it`s inspiring to look at him. you think bloody hell, that`s how he`s got to where he is.”
“It makes you want to do the same. Players like that don`t give you any tips but you talk to them a bit about the game, not so much tips. To be fair, I base my game more on Carvalho. I`m more similar to him than John Terry.
So it`s really good for me to have someone like Carvalho there. I think he`s one of the best centre halves in the world. He leads by example as well and he`s got exactly the same winning mentality as JT. They`re unbelievable.
“I speak to him about the game, but his English isn`t that good. You just learn so much from watching them train.”
