According to some reports this afternoon, Alvaro Morata pulled up in the final Chelsea training session this morning ahead of the weekends trip to face West Ham.

The article comes from a reliable source of information The Evening Standard. They report that Morata was given a precautionary scan, but at the moment the results are not yet known. The Spaniard has travelled with the team on the bus as they headed for their hotel this afternoon.

During his afternoon press conference before the team departed Antonio Conte said there were one or two issues that needed to be clarified before he could name his team.

He had already said that David Luiz and Danny Drinkwater would be unavailable for the fixture. When pushed he didn`t want to discuss the situation. Should Morata not make it, the manager will have to decide between using Michy Batshuayi, who has already made two Chelsea performances this week at different levels, or use Eden Hazard in the false nine role.

Although as his career progresses under Conte, Hazard is rapidly turning into a striker in a similar way to how Cristiano Ronaldo did through his career. If Hazard ever wants to get anywhere near to winning the fabled Ballon d`or that generally sits on Ronaldo`s mantlepiece, he`ll need to add more goals to his game.
