This Saturday, in the lunch-time kick-off, Chelsea return to Premier League action with a home Premier League fixture against Manchester United.

After the completion of the international break, the fixture sees a beleaguered Jose Mourinho stride back to a familiar stomping ground.

Although I’ll always be eternally grateful for what Jose did for our football club, I’m probably not alone in expressing disappointment at how his managerial career appears to have turned him into a figure of narcissism.

In fact, I have to express disappointment at the fact his side came back from 2-0 down to beat Newcastle United, a defeat in that game would surely have seen Jose bring his pampered squad to Stamford Bridge with the self-annointed ‘Special One’ facing the axe if the Blues were to beat him.

But, before I travel too far down this bitter and twisted road I appear to be on, I’ll take a left turn and get back to the crux of this article.

As is always the case, here at Vital Chelsea, we’re asking you to second guess the starting eleven that Maurizio Sarri will select.

With several of his normal starting eleven having been away on international duty, could we see a few changes or, are there a few in the squad that may be troubled by niggling injuries after the latest round of international matches.

To participate, simply drop the names of the eleven players you believe will start into the comments facility beneath this article.

Up the Chels!

  • Wasnt expecting a win. Monrinho had too much time to plan for this match. Thats what hes good at.
He took advantage of the Int Break.
Good to see we can still have possesion against a dangerous team, have a growing desire not to lose and know how to come back.

  • Just knew it if we had played them prior to international break we would have won but the break disrupted us and always seems to however great determination not to get beat very happy about that sarri for me doing great happy with him

  • This forum is absolute dog turd, last year we may not have agreed but at least we all had the capacity to present a healthy, concise, constructive debate, now, it’s utter crap. Well done whoever’s responsible!!

  • BlackRussian, yes the forum has really fallen apart on the participation level after the revamping …. what seems to be the biggest bugbear ? And any idea where all the great contributors have migrated to ?

  • thats my take on that match also, mourinho atleast knows how to defend against a possession based team but he had the international break to prepare for that game and hoping that the break disrupts chelsea’s momentum, and coupled with our lack of proper striker in this team,so we deserve where we are, only better if hazard had turned up,i wish that game was not played immediately after a break. But saying Jorginho is weak and couldnt impact the game? why not he continue to bash his united players and leave ours alone?
