There’s no sitting on the fence this weekend, as Chelsea approach their biggest fixture of the season so far.

One game does not a season make but I’m sure I’m not alone when I suggest a win, away to our deadly rivals Tottenham Hotspur, will surely bring a smile to all our faces as the festive season beckons.

After 4 defeats in their last five Premier League games, Chelsea make the short trip to N17 to face a Tottenham side that are bang on form following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as their new boss.

Mourinho, for all his chest-beating about loving Chelsea, has, in our eyes, sold his soul to the devil.

Frank Lampard knows just what this fixture means to the Chelsea faithful and he’ll be drumming home the importance of getting a result.

As usual, we’re running our regular feature whereby we ask you to predict the starting eleven for this fixture, a game which, if we were to lose, would see Chelsea crash out of the top-four.

Simply drop into our comment feature below this article, the starting eleven you think Frank Lampard will go for and we’ll see who gets it spot-on or the closest.

Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea?

Tottenham to Win!

Tottenham to Win!

Chelsea to Win!

Chelsea to Win!

A Draw!

A Draw!

  • Let’s hope we get an early Christmas present need to cut out stupid mistakes and take our chances we have been sussed a bit after half hour if we don’t score we run out of ideas

  • If Tomori is fit then I think Lampard will implement a long term plan as below:

    ====================Kepa====================

    ==========Zouma====Rudigar====Tomori========

    ====================Kante===================

    James=============Jorginho===========Kovacic

    Hudson-Odoi=======Abrahams==========Pulisic

    The positions above a critical to the formation.

    Plus we eagerly await the return of RLC

  • Hey yo Uncle Merlin! Why aren’t we threading on match days again? Kindly address whatever the issue is and let us fans relate with ourselves and air our views in times of victory, draw and loss

  • That was a great win best performance of the season clean sheet good football back three were brilliant great to have Rudiger back top performance

  • Was at a marriage yesterday, match was over by the time i got back … checked the result with some trepidation …. and got the great news !! Hope our stumble is now in the past !

  • Congratulations to the manager and his staff, the players and all involved for the 3 points.
    Chelsea were up for the game… But for some reason, were never interested.
    The decision to go 3 at the back took Jose by surprise.
    People questioned his line up… Yea, they were right… But having known Jose from here in Chelsea.,he always like to play two defensive midfielders in a big game. Kane, Ali, Moura, son upfront to hurt Chelsea while his defense mid stops Chelsea, but fortunately for us, his players where disinterested and lampard’s formation took him unaware…. Chelsea kept possession well, Tammy and Kante could have taken their shots from their positions but for some reasons, both tried to be smart and it failed.
    Lampard really got the guys to be interested in this match, due to our recent results, (worried) Jose factor, Tottenham, fact that we could have dropped to 5th with a loss there…
    Thankfully, we got three points… I was so excited yesterday.
    On boxing day, the Saints awaits… Hope we march in, and not them. Pulisic was rested, jorghino was not needed at the start of the match…
