Napoli Block Any Further Deals With Chelsea

|

It’s something we’ve touched on before, the fact that when a manager moves from one club to another, as Maurizio Sarri has done in moving from Napoli to Chelsea, there is a natural tendency to return to your previous club to try and bring with you the players that have served you so well.

This point is borne out perfectly by the fact that Sarri’s first signing as the new incumbent of the Chelsea managerial hot-seat was Jorginho, a player who excelled under his tutorship at Napoli.

However, it appears that any attempts, by Sarri, to lure anybody else from his old club will, according to the news source, Goal, not be tolerated by the Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis, who has, according to our source, issued some harsh words of warning, which read,

“He wanted Jorginho and I gave him away after talking with Ancelotti, who told me he was expecting a lot from Diawara and that he wants to play Hamsik deeper.

“After that, he wanted to take my whole team to England and dismantle it. I had to lay down the law to Marina Granovskaia.”

Which if true would instantly discount any possibility of this piece of speculation going anywhere:

With a familiar name to Chelsea fans, further clarifying;

Clearly, Sarri and de Laurentiis are not on the best of terms anymore but it’d certainly be interesting to know which other Napoli players, Jose Callejon apart, Serri was keen to bring to West London.
