There`s no doubting that, this season, John Terry has been one of our more consistent performers.

Our club captain has displayed the form that has him recognised as the best central defender in the Premier League.

However JT is approaching the end of his contract and a decision has to be made, by both parties, as to whether JT stays at Stamford Bridge or moves on.

At the age of 33, JT falls into the bracket whereby he`ll only be offered a one-year deal and, we are constantly told, no exceptions.

This morning the press is reporting that JT has, as we`d assumed he would, be offered a new one-year deal, however it is being intimated that his new deal will be on a reduced salary, said to be half of the rumoured £150,000 a week he`s said to be on.

Which raises the question – Is it a deal JT will happily sign or will he decide that now is the perfect time to severe ties with the club he epitomises and either move abroad to finish his career or, heaven forbid, move to another Premier League club?

What are your thoughts on the subject?
