Newcastle (a) – Starting XI – Wembley Dress Rehearsal or Give Youth a Chance?

|

On Wednesday evening, Antonio Conte opted to make six changes to his starting eleven, for the vital Premier League fixture against Huddersfield Town.

The performance and the fact that the two points dropped have seen our chances of a top-four finish become unlikely, prompted the suggestion that Antonio dropped a clanger in making so any changes.

This Sunday, Chelsea play their last Premier League game of the season when they travel to Tyneside to take on Newcastle United.

Although a top-four finish is still possible, it’d take an unlikely turn of events for it to materialise.

The situation in hand has prompted me to debate, over and over in my head, just what starting eleven Antonio Conte should opt for against Newcastle.

Should the Italian use this opportunity to give his probable FA Cup Final XI a chance to prepare for the Wembley clash with Manchester United, or should, knowing a top-four finish is unlikely, he give one or two youngsters a chance?

My view on the subject matter is that Conte should use this game as a dress rehearsal for the big day out at Wembley and go for the following starting eleven:

Courtois, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Rudiger, Moses, Alonso, Kante, Fabregas, Willian, Giroud, Hazard.

But what are your feelings on the subject matter?

What eleven would you start with against Newcastle?
