News That Every Chelsea Supporter Will Be Pleased To Read

|

Earlier this week, with speculation mounting that, come the opening of the January transfer window, Chelsea and Ruben Loftus-Cheek might part company, we ran an article discussing the various option.

Our article, Click Here, inferred that Chelsea had a decision to make as to whether he is part of the clubs’ long-term plans or whether the time has come to move the 22-year-old on.

This morning, according to the news vehicle, the Guardian, it would appear that the club, as instructed by Maurizio Sarri, have no intention of letting the midfielder go out on loan this January, with Sarri quoted as having remarked:

“Ruben is a very good player and, potentially, he’s a great player.

“He has played seven matches out of seven in the last month, so I’m really very happy with him. He’s improving a lot from the tactical point of view.

“In future, he will be a midfielder but sometimes we need to use him as a winger, especially in the last part of matches with his physical impact. So he’s a very important player for us. In the future, he will be more than important.”

Now that is the news all Chelsea supporters had been hoping for, Ruben brings that extra bit of power to our midfield when he plays and given a regular chance to air his skills, we’ve no doubt he’ll be an asset to the side.
