No News, Slow News And Perhaps A Little Disappointment Lies Ahead For Chelsea Fans

|

With the UK set for another three weeks in lock down, the debate as to when we’ll be able to witness, in the flesh, football again continues to rage.

Already, in Germany, public gatherings are to be banned until at least the end of August, naturally, we’ve no reason to assume that the UK will not adopt a similar stance.

Therefore, it looks as if it is going to be a long haul.

Meanwhile, even the flow of transfer tittle-tattle appears to be drying up.

In the last couple of days, there has been nothing fresh appearing as clubs start to consider revising their budgets due to the financial complications arising courtesy of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indeed, one piece of speculation we have come across, courtesy of The Guardian doesn’t make particularly good reading with our source inferring that any interest in the Brazilian defender, Gabriel Magalhaes, is set to end in disappointment with our source implying that Everton, managed by the former Chelsea double-winning boss, Carlo Ancelotti, are set to land the Lille centre-back, fending off interest from Arsenal and ourselves, for a fee of £30 million.

If so, perhaps it’s time to look for another of those plentiful fish in the sea!
