One Current And One Former Chelsea Player Join BBC Punditry Team For World Cup

|

The start of the 2018 World Cup is just a matter of days away.

Naturally, we’ll all be cheering on our home countries as well as looking to see how those Chelsea players representing other countries perform.

However, also watching on, but in the role of a TV pundit, will be a Chelsea player who didn’t make the 23-man squad for his country, this time around.

It was announced today that Cesc Fabregas, who has won more than 100 caps for his native Spain, will be joining the BBC’s punditry line-up.

The thoughts of Cesc will be heard first on 15 June when he will give his studio views on the Spain v Portugal game, a fixture that could be one of the games of the group stages.

It’ll be interesting to see how our 31-year-old midfielder comes across on the TV, however, we’re sure his experience of playing at the highest level in the game will serve him well.

Another pundit who Chelsea supporters might be interested in keeping an eye out for, on the BBC, is Didier Drogba, a man who needs no introduction to the Chelsea masses, he will also be giving his views on the action.

Suddenly, my interest in the 2018 World Cup is ramping up.

Is there anyone out there prepared to drop the name of the team they believe will win the tournament in our comments facility beneath this article?
