Opinion: Chelsea Receive A Third Offer For Brazilian International But It Brings A Smile To My Face

|

And these days that is a rarity!

With there being nothing else to look forward to this summer, courtesy of the two-window ban, other than sales and loans relating to our current squad, it is going to have a serious impact on the number of articles we are able to produce I the coming weeks

But transfer tittle-tattle is still appearing and today I’ve stumbled upon something that did bring a smile to my face whilst also allow me to put pen-to-paper, as they say.

Now, earlier this week, you may recall how I covered, Click Here, the fact that Chelsea had rejected offers from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for the services of our Brazilian international, Willian.

Seemingly, both clubs were willing to offer £30 million for the player and I cheekily asked whether a deal might have been done if there was no transfer ban.

Continuing on the theme and the reason why I have a smile on my face, it is being reported today, by the Metro that there has been another offer for Willian.

This time the offer, for the 30-year-old, has come from China with Shanghai Greenland Shenhua wanting to entice the Brazilian to the Far East with a lucrative salary.

But why the smile you may ask!

Well, Shanghai Greenland Shenhua have offered Chelsea £17.8 million for the player, far, far less than the £30 million offer, from Spain, that was rejected.

Okay, okay, it was only a little smile but I‘m sure you get the point I’m making.
