After being beaten heavily, in their first game of the US tour, against New York Red Bulls, Chelsea were looking to get back on an even keel against Paris St-Germain.

And that is exactly what they did!

Although Chelsea fell behind when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the first to react when Jean-Kevin Augustin had seen his shot hit the post, Chelsea battled back and deservedly equalised when Victor Moses equalised after volleying home a lovely chipped through ball from Cesc Fabregas.

With the game ending at 1-1, it was to be a penalty shoot-out that was to decide the result. Cometh the hour cometh the man as Thibaut Courtois proved to be the match-winner. The Belgian saved spot-kicks from Jean-Christophe Bahebeck and Thiago Silva before stepping up to smash his own penalty into the top corner.

The game saw Chelsea give a debut to Radamel Falcao with the Colombian entering the action in the 69th minute. Falcao looked comfortable up front and was to go on to score the first penalty in the shoot-out.

As for the rest of the action, Diego Costa almost got on the score-sheet but saw a shot tipped onto the woodwork whilst Chelsea`s first-half goalkeeper, Asmir Begovic, twice denied Lucas Moura.

Chelsea`s next fixture in the International Champions Cup is against Barcelona, on July 29, before they head back to the UK to play Arsenal in the Community Shield, a week today.
