Pundit Is Predicting Joy For Chelsea Down On The South Coast

|

After competing in the last fixture of our Europa League Group L, in midweek, it’s a Sunday fixture for us this weekend.

Last time out, in the Premier League, Chelsea produced a controlled performance to become the first side to beat Manchester City, this season.

In midweek, Chelsea travelled to Hungary, to take on MOL Vidi and with a much-changed starting eleven came away with a creditable 2-2 draw, thereby ending the group campaign unbeaten.

But Brighton away will be a tough proposition with the south coast side looking to gather the points on offer to move into the top half of the table.

Our poll, which still has some time to win, suggests that you believe Chelsea will win, repeating the feat achieved last season.

It is also a verdict that the BBC, TV pundit agrees with Mark Lawrenson implying he believes Chelsea will win 2-0, with the former Liverpool defender remarking about the fixture:

“Brighton’s home record is decent, with only one defeat from seven games at the Amex Stadium this season.

“So, this will not be an easy afternoon for Chelsea, but I still think they will build on last weekend’s impressive win over Manchester City.

“Chelsea were second-best for most of the first half against City but they were able to hang on, and then they capitalised when they had a good spell. They should be able to cope with whatever Brighton can throw at them too.”

Let’s hope Lawrenson is correct, we cannot afford any slip-ups in our quest for a top-four place.

Up the Chels!
