Quite Possibly The Best piece Of News Chelsea Supporters Have Had In Weeks

|

The new season is just a little over a week away for the Chelsea support.

A trip to Old Trafford awaits Frank Lampard and his squad as the dawn of, hopefully, a bright new era beckons.

This morning, any fears that Chelsea could lose one of their key players appear to have hugely diminished.

Lurking in the pages of The Express are remarks, attributed to N’Golo Kante, that dismiss any talk of a move away from Stamford Bridge for the French midfielder.

Although Kante is flattered by the interest expressed by Paris Saint-Germain, for his services, Kante has assured the Chelsea faithful that he will be a Chelsea player this coming season.

Last season, as you are well aware, Kante was forced by Maurizio Sarri, to operate in something akin to an alien role with the 28-year-old being pushed further forward.

This season, with Frank Lampard at the helm, we expect Kante to be played in his best position just in front of the defence.

Losing Eden Hazard this summer was a huge blow but the thought of losing the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League as well, doesn’t bear thinking about.

Thankfully, the man himself has dispelled those thoughts.
