Continuing what is now becoming a daily thing, reporting on the speculation surrounding the future of Eden Hazard, we have the latest update.

According to the news source, the Sun, Real Madrid are looking to set the negotiations in motion to take 28-year-old Hazard to the Bernabeu, by offering Chelsea a fee of £70 million for the Belgian international.

Now we all know that fee is almost insulting, and we’d hope that Chelsea would laugh in their faces, but the intention of that opening gambit is not to seal an immediate deal but more of a case of signalling their intent.

With Chelsea set to operate under a two-transfer window ban, any move for Hazard has to be a cash-only deal with the ban ruling out any possible player exchanges.

But, if Real Madrid, as we suspect, are serious in their ambitions of signing Hazard, what would you, the Vital Chelsea fraternity, consider to be a fair price?
