Some good news for Chelsea ahead of the Roma game on Wednesday evening. Like Chelsea, our Italian opposition are also struggling with injuries following their 1-0 Serie A defeat at home to Napoli.

Most notable being Kostas Manolas who limped out of the weekend game with a thigh injury. He joins a list absentees including Stephan El Shaaraway, Patrik Shick, Kevin Strootman, Gregoire Defrel and Emerson Palmieri. According to The Daily Mail Lorenzo Pellegrini was also forced out of the game on Saturday. His situation is being monitored ahead of the Champions League clash.

Chelsea have their own problems though, with key midfielder N`golo Kante sidelined along with Victor Moses. One bright note for the current Premier League champions is Alvaro Morata trained with first team today

Let`s hope the team are able to put behind them the nightmare that occurred at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

  • I have a feeling we might actually show up for this one, champions league is our best chance now.

  • Wouldn?t focus on the opposition?s injuries too much because if we play like Saturday it won?t matter.

  • Crystal Palace had a whole lot of players out injured on Saturday they still ran rings round Chelsea. Did anybody see the video of the Chelsea players heading out to training at Cobham the other day? Friday I think it was. I have never seen such a miserable bored looking bunch in my life. What is it with these players that they believe they can just play when they can be bothered? We have spent over a decade laughing at Arsenal for being weak and pathetic and now for the second year out of three it is happening to Chelsea. And we can’t even blame Jose this time.

  • You are right Cobham, its the players, they prefer a nice pussy cat manager like Guus who lets them do what they want .

  • I’d rather be careful when meeting an injury hit club. That can fired them up to play better against us.
