Well, it must be true if it’s in the Daily Telegraph as why would a newspaper make something up…
Alexis Sanchez continues to be linked with a potential move across London to Chelsea from Arsenal at the end of the season. The report claims Sanchez, which looks quite clear having failed to sign a new deal, is ‘ready to quit’ Arsene Wenger’s side for Stamford Bridge to join at a club with the ‘winning mentality’ he’s craving.
However, as ‘confident’ as Chelsea are of securing Sanchez his ‘dream move’ to stay in London this could be difficult to force through as Arsenal aren’t willing to sell to the Blues again – Paris Saint Germain, Juventus and clubs in the Chinese Super League are also credited with an interest.
But the Telegraph went on to cite reports coming out of France claiming Chelsea HAVE held talks with representatives of 28 year old Sanchez, closing in on the final 12 months of his Arsenal contract, along with PSG.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard of such a transfer and is no doubt not the last but could it really happen?
