You may recall, if you are a regular visitor to Vital Chelsea that we`ve regularly reported on how Chelsea Football Club has shown an interest in the Juventus defender, Alex Sandro.

Last summer, various news sources inferred that Chelsea had made some very significant bids for the 26-year-old defender but that the bids had been refuted by the Turin based club.

Earlier this month we covered the speculation linking Sandro with a move away from Juventus after the Brazilian has suffered a loss in form and had, subsequently, lost his place in the Juventus side.

After our interest had been declared, a certain Jose Mourinho, at Manchester United, was also linked with a move to bring the defender to the Premier League.

Today, the good folk of the The Sun have printed an update on the situation.

Our source is reporting that Sandro has asked Juventus for a move and although he is aware of the interest from Old Trafford, apparently, his preference is for a move to Chelsea.

Could it happen this January?

What are your thoughts on the player, do you perceive it as a good move?
