Saturday Could Well Be A Final Audition For Chelsea As Far As Dutch Defender Is Concerned

|

This Saturday, when Chelsea entertain AFC Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge, in a Premier League fixture, attention could well be focussed on one of the opposition players.

In recent days, speculation, as highlighted by The Guardian this morning has seen the name of Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake linked with a return to Chelsea Football Club.

Ake, who was sold by Chelsea back in 2017 after failing to nail down a regular starting place, has matured into a fine centre-back and is seen as somebody who could bolster our defence whilst also reducing the steady stream of goals, we’ve been conceding this season.

When Ake was sold, Chelsea were cute enough to insert a buyback clause in the deal which would see Chelsea able to buy the Dutchman back for a fee of £40 million.

With the speculation heightening, it was only natural that we used our poll facility to canvas your view on the subject.

With the question duly asked, it appears that you have no qualms about Chelsea bringing the defender back to Stamford Bridge with 76% of the votes cast being in favour.

Could a decent performance, on Saturday, see that happen?

Your views, on the above subject matter, would be most welcome in the comment facility beneath this article.
