Shock As Abramovich Misses 2018 FA Cup Final

|

On Saturday, as Chelsea did their utmost to rescue a disappointing season by beating Manchester United to win the 2018 FA Cup Final, one man was conspicuous by his absence.

It would appear that our owner, Roman Abramovich, wasn’t able to attend the game.

Now, Roman is a regular when it comes to attending games with a trophy at stake but, on this occasion, bureaucracy prevented him from doing so.

Seemingly, Roman’s visa had expired three weeks ago and the authorities who deal with such matters haven’t issued Roman with a new one.

It appears that the oligarch, who is a close friend of Vladimir Putin, was a victim of the improved scrutiny going on, when it comes to Russian individuals wanting to enter the United Kingdom, since the Salisbury poisoning incident.

Hopefully, this political tit-for-tat will sort itself out shortly and things can get back to normal.

Otherwise, I dread to think of what the ramifications for Chelsea Football Club might be!
