After the comfortable home win against Newcastle United, on Monday evening, it is clear to see that Thomas Tuchel’s appointment is having the desired impact.
Six games into his tenure as the manager of Chelsea Football Club, the German has presided over 5 wins and 1 draw, indeed the only goal we have conceded since his appointment has been a comical own goal from Antonio Rudiger.
This Saturday, in the early kick-off, Chelsea are on the south-coast taking on a Southampton side who, after a good start to the season, have seen a dip in form, culminating in a 9-0 thrashing by Manchester United, at Old Trafford, not that long ago.
But teams have a habit of bouncing back after such a drubbing, let us hope it is not against us this weekend.
As is the norm, here at Vital Chelsea, we are running our normal article where we ask you to second guess what is in the managers mind when it comes to selecting his starting XI.
Will we see some more rotation, or will the nucleus of the side be much the same as that which beat Newcastle United?
Simply drop your predicted starting XI in the comment facility beneath this article and we will see if anyone can get it spot on.
Southampton v Chelsea?
Southampton to Win!
Chelsea to Win!
