This lunch-time (UK time), Chelsea will be taking on Inter Milan, in a friendly fixture, in the National Stadium, in Singapore.

Likely to be playing for the opposition is a player that Chelsea have their sights on buying.

Once again, speculation has appeared in the press and in particular, the Daily Star, inferring that Antonio Candreva, could be the next arrival at Stamford Bridge.

Our source, with the speculation gathering momentum, is also suggesting that Inter would be agreeable to a move if Chelsea were to meet their £17.9 million valuation of the player.

However, with the midfielder-cum-winger, turning 31-years-of-age at his next birthday, paying such a fee might be considered as an extravagant splurge.

Candreva`s age would imply that the Italian international would have a limited sell-on price.

But, sometimes such an investment can pay dividends in other ways, an additional decent player added to the squad could prove to be invaluable as we prepare to enter what will be a busy season.

But what are your views on the possible acquisition of Candreva?

Is it something you would approve of?
