The arrival of the festive season is quite possibly my favourite time of the year.
Now, it’s not because I get all-consumed by Christmas cheer, it’s more to do with the fact that the opening of the January transfer window is that much closer, something which heralds a plethora of speculation that I can get my teeth into.
Already, as we approach mid-December, that previously mentioned speculation is starting to grow in volume.
This morning, Chelsea are once again being linked with the acquisition of a striker.
With it being blatantly obvious that the squad is missing a striker who can get us 20+ goals in a season, the name of Callum Wilson has once again come to the forefront.
According to the media vehicle, the Express, Chelsea are confident that a bid of £30 million will be sufficient to bring the international striker to Stamford Bridge.
But, as is often the case, another media source carries an exclusive that totally contradicts the above piece of speculation.
According to the news source, Goal, the Bournemouth manager, Eddie Howe, is confident that his club can repel any Chelsea advances for his 26-year-old striker.
Are you sure Eddie?
It’s big-bucks being offered and the chance to join one of the major players in European football?
Personally, I reckon Wilson will be on the move, but how about you?
