Speculation Suggests Chelsea Might Make Kovacic Deal A Permanent One In The Summer

|

Is it something you agree with though?

With, as we reported earlier, Click Here, Eden Hazard set for a move to Real Madrid, this summer, one news source, the tabloid publication, the Sun, is reporting that the proposed deal could trigger several transfer deals.

Continuing, our referenced source, suggests that one such deal could see the loan deal that brought Mateo Kovacic to Stamford Bridge, could be turned into a permanent deal.

However, sat here in the editorial chair, such a suggestion has gotten me thinking.

Although rated as the future golden boy of Croatian football, Kovacic hasn’t quite lived up to that expectation with Real Madrid allowing him to come to Stamford Bridge to rebuild a fading reputation.

But, since his arrival, am I the only one to think that his contribution hasn’t been all that we hoped it would?

Very rarely does the 24-year-old complete a full ninety minutes, often being substituted, in the second half, by Maurizio Sarri.

Furthermore, although Kovacic, undoubtedly, has talent, is he set to be one of those players to never quite achieve his full potential?

But what is your view on the player?

Would you welcome the loan deal becoming permanent or would Chelsea be better looking elsewhere or perhaps even bring on one of the several promising youngsters they have in reserve?

Please feel free to drop your view into the comments facility beneath this article.
