This morning several news sources are reporting that these could be worrying times for Chelsea Football Club.

The The Guardian are amongst several news sources that are reporting that FIFA are investigating numerous of Chelsea`s transfer deals.

According to our source, the world governing body are concerned that Chelsea have broken the rules when it comes to signing players under the age of eighteen, with as many as twenty-five cases falling under their microscope.

It appears that the transfer of Bertrand Traore was the catalyst for the investigation with FIFA having been shown picture of the youngster, who is no longer on our books, playing for Chelsea when he was just sixteen years of age, with the rules prohibiting foreign youngsters from playing competitive football until they are at least eighteen years of age.

Chelsea are of the opinion they have not flouted the rules and insist that the game in which Bertrand Traore played was a ‘non-competitive` fixture against Arsenal.

If the investigation, by FIFA, does find Chelsea guilty, then the club will / could, be hit with a transfer ban covering several transfer windows.

Let`s keep our fingers crossed that Chelsea`s transfer dealings are given a clean bill of health by FIFA once their investigations conclude.
