Talented Chelsea Youngster Set For January Loan Move To Aston Villa

|

Despite impressing when he has been given the chance to show what he can do, Chelsea’s young forward, Callum Hudson-Odoi, has been conspicuous by his absence when it comes to the eighteen players selected for Match Day squads this season.

However, at just 17-years-of-age, now is not the time to show too much concern, now is the time for one of the most talented youngsters to have come through the youth system, to be given the chance to get some much-needed first-team action.

Therefore, it’s no surprise that the player is, once the transfer window becomes active in January, being linked with a loan move and Hudson-Odoi could be added to the list that is already numbering in excess of forty players.

According to the news source, the Birmingham Mail Hudson-Odoi is being linked with a move to manager-less Aston Villa.

The Championship side, who recently axed Steve Bruce, have serious ambitions of making a return to the Premier League, after coming so close to doing so in the play-off final last May, only to be pipped by Fulham.

A possible loan move to Villa Park would see Hudson-Odoi link up with another talented and highly rated Chelsea youngster, Tammy Abraham.

But, if the deal is to go ahead, here at Vital Chelsea, we’re insistent that the only way Hudson-Odoi will prosper is if Aston Villa can promise to give the youngster regular match-time, it’s no use, we feel, to simply swap the reserves at Cobham for a place on the Aston Villa bench and get a few cameo appearances.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll monitor the situation and report back as deemed appropriate.
