Almost a week has passed since John Terry revealed, after the FA Cup tie against the MK Dons, he’d be leaving Stamford Bridge come the end of the season.

The past week has seen numerous articles published, both on here and in the media world, discussing possible scenarios that could take place between now and the end of the season.

One which seems particularly puzzling is the suggestion that John Terry could still be offered a new 12-month deal depending on who the next permanent manager of Chelsea Football Club.

However, it appears that JT is as perplexed as we are when it comes to such a statement, even more so when you consider that without a permanent manager in place Chelsea have awarded Branislav Ivanovic a new deal, sold Ramires to China and brought in Matt Miazga.

Talking about the situation, The Sun carries quotes from an insider at Chelsea Football Club that seem to sum up the situation perfectly, with the insider quoted as having remarked,

‘John does not agree that they have to wait for a new manager before deciding if he should get another deal.

‘He has to make plans and there is no indication when the permanent manager will be appointed.

‘He is not doing anything wrong by revealing he has no new offer. He is entitled to say so.’

Is JT right to feel as he does?
