That First Signing Of The January Transfer Window Is Moving That Little Bit Closer For Chelsea

|

I’m probably not the only Chelsea supporter who gets a little excited when the January transfer window opens.

I’m always anxious to see who the club see as being able to improve the current squad and bring that something special to our play.

Also, as an amateur hack, I also have to admit it is my favourite time of the season as there is a plethora of speculation to work with and follow up upon.

However, with the window now having been open for fifteen days, almost the halfway point, Chelsea have yet to announce the arrival of anybody, instead, we’ve been focussing on who might be leaving or who has, indeed, left.

But, that could be set to change shortly.

The media, in particular, the tabloid publication the Mirror, are championing the suggestion that Chelsea have agreed on terms with the Argentine midfielder, Leandro Paredes.

The 27-year-old is currently on the books of the Russian outfit, Zenit St Petersburg and are hoping a bid of £27 million will be enough to tempt his present club into doing a deal.

Here at Vital Chelsea, the party balloons are ready to be launched, we’re just waiting for that confirmation from the Chelsea hierarchy.
