Without wishing to dwell too long on the whole Diego Costa soap opera saga, developments have taken place today.

Our Brazilian based striker, Costa has today released a statement through an intermediary, The Evening Standard were up early to report it,

“My destination is already made. I must return to Atletico Madrid. It turns out that there is the impasse that Chelsea does not want to release me. But I believe that this situation will be resolved now on my return to Spain.”

Does Costa not understand he has a contract with Chelsea Football Club that he agreed to and signed. It strikes me that Costa is getting some pretty poor advice from his ‘people`.

I`m really not sure how going to Madrid and knocking on Atleti`s front door is going to pan out for him. Atletico are in no position to buy the wantaway striker without Chelsea having a major say in it.

Sky Sports report that Atletico’s captain has spoken this evening,

“From what I know, Atletico Madrid want to sign him and he wants to join. But of course, there is Chelsea in the middle and when you are part of a club you must respect the badge and try and leave in the best way.”

At least someone’s speaking sense.

  • Even after he leaves we have to find a way to muzzle him, i could see him calling the Brazilian and Spanish players and fermenting unrest. Of course he has been doing this already . Now he is preparing to hook up with Atleti’s training camp, without permission of course .

  • I’ve changed my thinking of him recently. How can this bum to dictate his wishes to club>? The club comes first then, he comes as an employee. Diego certainly has forgotten who pays him. He needs to be sold asap. When we have all our players fit and ready, I mean all. We won’t need him and he can stay in Brazil and keep drinking his tea. I just wanna see our team to do well that’s it. All these stories about some player and coach are making it harder for us, players and club to get over it. Sack both of them LOL Bytwy we are gonna beat Spurs again.

  • This knob head should pick up his phone and call Adrian Mutu..this ain’t gonna end well for him. No doubt Chelsea will lose millions, but Costa will be the biggest loser. He’s messing around with the wrong club

  • @Blue_Mel – you’re such a dink. Are you really going to embarrass yourself yet AGAIN? Oh, my sweet glob…

  • And I can show you the quote where you claim that I am your sweet glob. It isnt half interesting what some people believe. I would like to tell you factually i am not your anything. . So olease stoo embarrassing YOURSELF

  • If players come late to daily training, they will be fined. This guy did not attend training for weeks. Why there was no financial action against him?

  • Costa should listen to his skipo to be. He could learn some senses from that. The problem with Costa is that he still think the fans are behind him to fight Conte.

  • @Blue_Mel – I didn’t call you anything. “Glob” isn’t meant for you – you are not even the slightest bit worthy of such a title. And secondly, by even posting such a stupid thing as your Messi 2.0 rumours, you’ve implicitly endorsed it. Otherwise, what’s the point? It’s honestly a dumb thing to say.

  • Hazard said the player with least intelligent quotient last season was Costa. No doubt he got that spot on. No wonder he is becoming a disgrace to professional footballers. What do they say about going back to your first love. He should be careful as well in Athletico Madrid. Times have changed.

  • @solid. If “glob” isnt intended for me then I would like to suggest you don’t include it when addressing me or I might suggest that you yourself are worthy of the most high a noble rank of “glob”
