The Daily Costa

Without wishing to dwell too long on the whole Diego Costa soap opera saga, developments have taken place today.

Our Brazilian based striker, Costa has today released a statement through an intermediary, The Evening Standard were up early to report it,

“My destination is already made. I must return to Atletico Madrid. It turns out that there is the impasse that Chelsea does not want to release me. But I believe that this situation will be resolved now on my return to Spain.”

Does Costa not understand he has a contract with Chelsea Football Club that he agreed to and signed. It strikes me that Costa is getting some pretty poor advice from his ‘people`.

I`m really not sure how going to Madrid and knocking on Atleti`s front door is going to pan out for him. Atletico are in no position to buy the wantaway striker without Chelsea having a major say in it.

Sky Sports report that Atletico’s captain has spoken this evening,

“From what I know, Atletico Madrid want to sign him and he wants to join. But of course, there is Chelsea in the middle and when you are part of a club you must respect the badge and try and leave in the best way.”

At least someone’s speaking sense.
