The Future Of Chelsea’s Willian Emerges In The Media Again

|

Last night, as the World Cup starts to gather momentum, it was interesting to see Willian performing for Brazil.

Brazil, like so many others, tipped to do well in the tournament, couldn’t start their campaign with a win, drawing 1-1 with Switzerland.

Willian, like many of his team-mates, couldn’t provide that piece of magic to open up a stoic Swiss defence.

Today, Willian, once again, features in the transfer speculation doing the rounds.

The news source, the Daily Mail is reporting that Jose Mourinho is looking to take the player to Old Trafford with a fee of £60 million being floated about.

Willian, despite, at times, showing glimpses of the form he is capable of producing, didn’t have the best of seasons when it came to the number of performances he was granted, with the 29-year-old making just 20 starts in the Premier League.

Could that be a fact that may influence his decision when it comes to his future?

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’d be disappointed to see Willian leave, since joining from Shakhtar Donetsk, five years ago, he’s become a crowd favourite.

But, to see Willian leave and join up with Jose Mourinho, at Manchester United, would leave us feeling gutted.

Surely, Chelsea can’t let another of our squad tread the road to the north-west, can they?
