As we get ready to start the new season with an opening day fixture against Burnley, it seemed only right that our front-page poll should be used to ask the most pertinent question of them all.
Namely, who is going to win the 2017 / 2018 Premier League title.
My co-ed, techlec2000, asked the question and gave you six likely candidates to choose from:
? Chelsea
? Manchester City
? Tottenham Hotspur
? Liverpool
? Arsenal
and
? Manchester United
The result showed that you have every faith in Antonio Conte re-producing the feat of last season with 78% of you suggesting that the trophy will be remaining at Stamford Bridge.
But how were the remainder of the votes cast?
Well 14% of you believe this will be the season that Pep Guardiola gets his act together and Manchester City will win the trophy.
A further 4% are of the belief that Jose Mourinho will continue his second-season syndrome and win the Premier league with a second club, Manchester United.
Continuing, 2% of you are of the firm belief that Tottenham, having pushed Chelsea all the way this season, will win the Premier League for the very first time, whilst a similar amount are of the opinion that Arsenal will recapture previous glories and emerge with the glittering prize.
But as for poor Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp`s side didn`t get a solitary vote with precisely 0% thinking the Premier League trophy will make Anfield it`s home for the very first time.
