Once again, it`s gone in a flash, five hard days graft followed by two days off that seem to flash by.

Nevertheless, it`s the daily grind that enables us to live the lifestyle we do and perhaps and perhaps this coming week we`ll be presented with images of players the club has signed, one maybe ot possibly two.

Once again, the name of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang features prominently in the transfer speculation.

Now whether Chelsea are really interested in the player I`m still not sure.

But the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, which even I can work out means the World on Sunday, is carrying some fresh quotes from Aubameyang`s current club, Borussia Dortmund.

They are words that suggest it really is make-your-mind-up time for the striker.

Words that read,

‘We have told Auba: ‘If you want to move somewhere, and you have a club willing to meet our demands, then come to us and we’ll talk.

‘But this will only apply within a certain time window, which is slowly closing. We would clearly need to get a replacement for him, which is difficult to impossible in any event.

‘We will wait for a couple more days, but not for much longer. There are no offers on the table for him so far.’

But it is those last eleven words that make me believe Chelsea are not really in the market for the player.

How about you?

  • The media don’t always make up stories. Agents are most likely much more culpable. The media is just a tool in skilfull hands, to wield against the gullible, or otherwise, uninterested…

  • Costa partying in Brazil in Athletico Madrid top and mocking Conte. Has this guy gone insane?

  • If I were the board the board, I would not loan Costa but ensure he’s sold to another club other than his preferred athletico just to punish him for disrespecting the club and coach or better still banish him to under 8 or 5 to train with.

  • It seems that Conte is moving towards a 3-5-2 with the addition of Bakayoko. That means Fabregas will probably be starting most games and we’ll need fast, skillful forwards quite different from Lukaku (did Conte ever seriously want that lump?). Aubameyang would be idea for that system as would Aguero. Let’s have both!
