Now I`ve no idea whether we`ll be signing Neymar and I`ve no idea whether we`re actively chasing Sergio Aguero either.

Speculation appears to be the order of the day in both cases and seeing, naturally, as we`ve been big-spenders in the past, we`re linked with anybody who carries a hefty price tag.

Several of our members have had vociferous opinions on the availability of both players with our recent poll showing that, out of the two listed; Neymar was your preferred option.

The waters continue to be muddied by the mixed reports coming out of Brazil and the plethora of ‘tweets` on the subject, only serve to add to the confusion.

But, one new point of interest is coming to light relating to Aguero.

The Atletico Madrid player`s advisors are, reputedly, in talks with Madrid to get a reduction in the current buy-out clause in the strikers` contract, seeking to get it reduced form £42 million to £32 million.

I suspect that Aguero is looking to leave his current club but that any bids, due to the £42 million clause, haven`t been forthcoming.

If his agents are successful, can anyone else foresee a mad transfer scramble as clubs contemplate purchasing Neymar but line up Aguero in case the Brazilian isn`t acquired?

With the transfer window officially opening this Friday (July 1st), it would be great to see some real action would it not!
