It`s always sad to hear that Chelsea have let some youngsters go but that`s the way it is.

Football is a competitive sport and with clubs harvesting crop after crop of young talent, decisions have to be made.

Therefore, it was perhaps inevitable that Chelsea let some of their youngsters leave, by mutual consent, with it being announced yesterday that the following had left by mutual consent;

? James Ashton
? Conor Clifford
? Ben Gordon
? Rohan Ince
? Adam Phillip

The club explained that the decision had been taken to let them leave now to give them the chance to find another club before the market is swamped by the plethora of youngsters released by clubs in May.

Our best wishes go to the all but especially Conor Clifford who, was once, touted as the next Frank Lampard.

Good luck lads.
