I know this article will herald an influx of visitors from Spurs and I know that there`s every chance they`ll resort to leaving some childish comments.

However, the tabloid press are buzzing with the news that despite all the huffing and puffing from Daniel Levy, their Croatian midfielder, Luka Modric, could well be out of White Hart Lane this summer.

Our, reported, bid of £22 million may not have been enough to open negotiations but it does appear that it has put Modric in the position whereby he wants to come to London and that his head has been turned.

It appears that Modric doesn`t want to depart Spurs on bad terms but one tabloid infers that if he doesn`t get the move he requires he`s quite willing to incur the wrath of the Spurs support and formally request a transfer.

Furthermore, another leading Sunday tabloid is reporting that Gareth Bale isn`t exactly over-the-moon at the possibility of Modric leaving and if Modric were to come to Stamford Bridge, Bale would, how they say, be looking at his options.

Troubled times ahead?
