This afternoon, in a Premier League game being shown live by Sky Sports, Chelsea go head-to-head with Crystal Palace, at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start, in all competitions, to the 2018 / 2019 season against an improving Crystal Palace side.
Games between the two sides are often not as predictable as first thought with the statistics showing that Crystal Palace, in recent meetings have the upper hand.
The Eagles have won two of the last three meetings between the two sides and have also won two of the last three clashes at Stamford Bridge.
However, the TV pundit, Mark Lawrenson, reckons that this time around it will be Chelsea supporters that are celebrating, predicting in his regular column for the BBC:
“Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has got a talented squad and happy camp – they are playing well, winning and enjoying themselves, and I think that will continue on Sunday.”
Whilst also going for a 2-0 score-line.
But, if that is going to be the case that’ll buck a trend that has seen four of the last six meetings end 2-1.
Personally, I’ll be happy with any Chelsea win that enables us to keep the pressure up on the teams above us in the Premier League table.
