Unbeaten so far this season, in all competitions, Chelsea face, quite probably, their toughest test of the 2018 / 2019 season, so far, this Saturday.
The Blues are making the short trip to North-West London to take on Tottenham Hotspur, at Wembley.
Our London rivals may not be able to boast the same unbeaten start to the season as us, but it is worth pointing out that they are just a solitary point behind us in the table. If Tottenham Hotspur can become the first team to beat Maurizio Sarri’s side this season, they will climb above Chelsea in the table.
Here at Vital Chelsea, we’re seriously hoping that doesn’t happen, losing is bad enough but losing to Tottenham Hotspur leaves us wallowing in pity for days.
But, according to the TV pundit, Mark Lawrenson, in his regular feature on the BBC, reckons that is exactly what lies ahead for Chelsea this weekend, with the former Liverpool defender reckoning Chelsea will lose 2-0 and remarking:
“I think we will see the Blues’ first defeat of the season.
“Chelsea were average against Everton last time out and if they play like that again, Spurs will turn them over.”
Unfortunately, he’s right about the Everton performance but surely, we’ll be able to raise our game against that lot from N17?
