Two New Signings Imminent As Chelsea Prepare To Add To Their Squad

|

Ahead of the departure of Cesc Fabregas, with the revered Spaniard signing for AS Monaco, it had been muted that the deal would not be completed until two particulars had been settled.

The first was a transfer fee and the second was bringing in a replacement.

With the deal having now been announced as done, we can only assume that the fee, between the two clubs, has been agreed.

However, with regards to the second, a replacement, we’re still waiting.

But, according to the news source, the Telegraph, Chelsea are close to bringing not one, but two, new midfielders to Stamford Bridge with deals being agreed in principle.

The first of these would see the 24-year-old Argentine midfielder, Leandro Paredes, join the club from Zenit St Petersburg, whilst the second would see the Italian midfielder, Nicolo Barella, join the club from Cagliari.

Barella is somebody we’ve mentioned before, Click Here, where we covered the inference the highly-rated youngster wasn’t too keen on leaving Italy just yet.

Hopefully, Chelsea will have persuaded him that SW6 is the place to be.

Sat here, in the editorial chair, I’ve got my fingers crossed that both these deals are signed, sealed and delivered soon, we could, with the transfer window open, do with an injection of fresh talent.
