It’s fair to say that the 2018 World Cup Finals have exceeded expectations.

The tournament will be remembered as the year the big-guns fell by the wayside early on leaving the less fashionable nations with a glorious chance to scribe their name in the history books.

One country who have been mentioned as possible winners are Belgium, captained by our very own Eden Hazard.

Hazard hasn’t disappointed, like some, at these World Cup Finals, being at the forefront of everything good Belgium have done.

But, with 2018 / 2019 Premier League season looming large on the horizon, there are still fears that the player we view as the best in the Premier League could leave Stamford Bridge.

After a season where Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League, finishing a disappointing fifth in the table, it is essential that Chelsea act wisely in the transfer market this summer.

It’s something that Hazard has mentioned when it comes to remaining at Chelsea, with the news source, inews, carrying the following quotes attributed to the player,

“I’m waiting for new players next season. You know. We’ll see. I want good players because I want to win next season the Premier League. A lot of things, then we will see.”

Therefore, it’d be interesting to know what Hazard’s thoughts are when it comes to the speculation currently doing the rounds linking the likes of Thibaut Courtois, N’Golo Kante, Alvaro Morata and Willian with moves away from the club.

Worryingly, the majority of the speculation relating to transfers appears to relate to players leaving as opposed to those arriving.

Hopefully, with the end of the 2018 World Cup just a week away, that bias will change, but would you bet your mortgage on it?

  • Confusion!Confusion!!Confusion!!!! at Chelsea. If you are a fan and you are not confused, then you must be a board member or privy to a private information. I am tired of the Manager’s saga… for over 6 weeks now, everyday Sarri is signing and everyday the deal is far from being done. Today is the 8th of July, community shield is less than 4 weeks and now Napoli wants €20million or David Luiz or Fabregas for sarri’s release. we have not signed any player. Many of our players have been linked with exits. I don’t know if anyone expected Conte to still be here at the club for pre season? I certainly never expected to still see him around based on all the talks of him leaving the club. I think we have to be very concerned about what is happening at the club. Add to the fact that Roman’s UK visa is still not renewed.I personally think that this week is going to be the biggest in the history of the club. If by the end of this week, the managerial situation is still not clear and no new signings, then we are in for a terrible and gloomy season ahead.

    • it appears media frenzy the waters are so muddy its hard to tell fact from fiction. was Chelsea wanting conte to leave. as it appears at the moment no. would he be taking pre-season training who knows. but Chelsea football club dug themselves into this hole despite the media. they could have issued a clear statement on the current situation at Chelsea football club. at the very least fire the Chelsea PR people. were being dragged through the dirt.

  • My heart is bleeding for my beloved Chelsea team please manager can you let go so to that a new manager can take over. Yes we won the league and the cup . if your troops have lost faith in you it means you have to go.
Management can we add class in n our signing we need quality players please.
    Let’s start signing them now.

  • It`s time for us to all be honest. The dynamics of football have now changed and CFC do no longer hold all the cards. Roman just throwing money at everything worked in the past, but you can`t just do that any more. You have to know what you are doing, but unfortunately we do not. From the top of the club down, we are a mess, and that is totally Roman`s fault. If he does not wish to build a new stadium or finance the club any longer, it is time for him to sell up. As dramatic as that might seem, he is holding the club back now. Thanks for the memories, they really were great, but time has caught up with you and it is now time for you to sell the club and let both parties move on.
