Uncertain Times Set To Continue At Stamford Bridge

|

It’s fair to say that the 2018 World Cup Finals have exceeded expectations.

The tournament will be remembered as the year the big-guns fell by the wayside early on leaving the less fashionable nations with a glorious chance to scribe their name in the history books.

One country who have been mentioned as possible winners are Belgium, captained by our very own Eden Hazard.

Hazard hasn’t disappointed, like some, at these World Cup Finals, being at the forefront of everything good Belgium have done.

But, with 2018 / 2019 Premier League season looming large on the horizon, there are still fears that the player we view as the best in the Premier League could leave Stamford Bridge.

After a season where Chelsea failed to qualify for the Champions League, finishing a disappointing fifth in the table, it is essential that Chelsea act wisely in the transfer market this summer.

It’s something that Hazard has mentioned when it comes to remaining at Chelsea, with the news source, inews, carrying the following quotes attributed to the player,

“I’m waiting for new players next season. You know. We’ll see. I want good players because I want to win next season the Premier League. A lot of things, then we will see.”

Therefore, it’d be interesting to know what Hazard’s thoughts are when it comes to the speculation currently doing the rounds linking the likes of Thibaut Courtois, N’Golo Kante, Alvaro Morata and Willian with moves away from the club.

Worryingly, the majority of the speculation relating to transfers appears to relate to players leaving as opposed to those arriving.

Hopefully, with the end of the 2018 World Cup just a week away, that bias will change, but would you bet your mortgage on it?
