A trip to Old Trafford was always something to look forward to and I`m guessing we all have our favourite visit.

My own personal favourite trip came in the 1985 / 1986 season for a midweek match.

Skipping off work early, the drive north seemed to take forever, but after parking the car up in a safe place, we were soon walking past the cricket ground towards Old Trafford.

Going through the turnstiles, it was soon obvious that there was a decent sized Chelsea support (as always), ready to cheer their side on.

The game itself was a cracker, but I won`t spoil your enjoyment, instead simply click on the video link to view a classic Chelsea performance.

Was it really almost 32 years ago?

How time flies!

  • In many ways, one of my favourite times as CFC supporter. A side that often performed against the odds. Free-flowing attacking football with Kerry Dixon, David Speedie and Pat Nevin. It wasn’t always in the top flight, but good times still.
