Unwanted Chelsea Defender Looking To Continue Playing

|

Stamford Bridge may have bidden an emotional farewell, on Sunday, to one of our heroes of that wonderful night in Munich, but it would appear that Gary Cahill is far from finished with football.

The 33-year-old former England defender who has been criminally underused by Maurizio Sarri, may not be wearing the blue shirt of Chelsea next season but according to the news source, Talksport, Cahill has every intention of carrying on, elsewhere, for a few years yet.

Talking to the aforementioned source, Cahill remarked:

“I’m fit as a fiddle and ready to go. I’ve used the time I’ve not been playing wisely.

“This chapter will close and another will open for me without a doubt, so I have a few more years left to play.”

I’ve no doubt that Cahill can keep on playing but as to where we can only wait and see, but his experience and ability will serve whoever decides to sign him on gets a dedicated and committed professional.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’ll keep an eye out for any speculation relating to Cahill signing for another club and report back as deemed necessary.
