Adding to the squad will be an interesting scenario to follow this summer.

Antonio Conte, after a season in charge, will know exactly what positions he wants to strengthen and it remains to be seen who the Italian brings to the club.

The press though, as you`d expect, are never afraid to link Chelsea Football Club with any decent footballer that might become available.

This morning, lurking in the pages of the The Mirror, is the inference that Chelsea are one of a host of clubs that are being linked with a possible move for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Marco Verratti.

Our referenced source suggests that although the 24-year-old is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2021, the player plans talks with the club this summer relating to his future.

Since joining Paris Saint-Germain, from Pescara in 2012, Verratti has developed into one of the best midfielders in Europe.

However, it appears that his clubs` failure to mount a serious challenge in European competition has led to him questioning his future in French football.

But, as stated earlier, Chelsea are only one of a number of clubs linked with the acquisition of the player, our source is also reporting that the likes of Juventus, Barcelona and Manchester United are all showing an interested.

If Chelsea are to sign this gem it`ll mean fighting off some serious opposition to do so.

What do you reckon Vital Chelsea members, is Verratti someone you`d greet with open arms if he arrived in SW6?
