The official site has confirmed that reserve team central defender Steven Watt has gone on a months loan to League One Barnsley.
The 20 year old Scottish U21 international made his first team debut last season at home to Sc**thorpe in the FA Cup and has played over 50 games for both reserve and youth teams, including four for the reserves this season.
Barnsley manager Andy Ritchie said: ‘We are delighted to have got him because he is very, very highly rated at Chelsea and there were a number of other clubs interested.’
Adding:
‘He is 6’3, good in the air and is quick and we have had nothing but good reports back when we have had him watched.’
