City saw us do it. And I was wondering what one Gooner named Tim Sherwood has to say now…

Funny that. It finally happened. Chelsea conquered City. The separation of all that is special from all that is very ordinary.

The separation of boys from men, career losers from serial-winners, pupil from master and contenders from pretenders.

And before the noisy neighbours knew what had hit them, Branislav Ivanovic happened! And the ensuing silence at the Etihad was way too deafening!

Wow, 6 lovely points? From a man who reportedly prefers doing his talking on the pitch? A man who couldn’t understand or fathom the language Ivanovic was speaking whilst blasting in his winner in what was his first left-footed strike and 15th Premier League goal?

Well, many thanks to the Etihad woodwork for stopping all of 4 goal-bound beauties – including the AutoMatic One’s screamer – as this would have been an utter embarrassment to not just noisy Citeh but bookmakers as well; but no thanks to Pellegrini for all the noisy entertainment and hullabaloo, and absolute zero substance on his own turf. 0-1.

Take that and deal with it. Thought you’d be bigger.

And please don’t hesitate to give little Sherwood a call Manuel, and correct his mistake, and tell him who is boss and which club is…though as a Gooner-cum-Spud, that one already knows who rules London.

Time to go crush some better northern challenge! Newcastle next?

Wait a sec, how does the record against this latest casualty read again? 7 meetings, 5 wins for the Special One, 1 drawn match and a solitary win for the engineer from Chile who unfortunately couldn’t engineer a single goal at his supposed stomping ground?

A home and away humbling of the so-called title favourites and best in the league?

How very nice and comforting!

Guess Chelsea are better than the ‘best’ then.

Up The Chels!
