Being brutally honest, it’s hard to get too excited about some of the players who have returned from a season-long loan and who are hoping to establish themselves as first-team regulars at Stamford Bridge next season.

From my point of view, some should have been moved on years ago whilst others have had their chance and not taken it.

A player that falls into that latter category is Tiemoue Bakayoko.

At 24-years-of-age the time should be right for the French midfielder to step forward and command the centre of the park, but there just isn’t that aura about him.

Therefore, I’m not too desolate to discover that the French media source, rmcsport, is suggesting that Bakayoko is wanted by a trio of clubs with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all getting a mention.

Now my view is that we should move the player on and get as much cash as we can, then stash it in the transfer treasure chest waiting to be spent when the two-window transfer ban is lifted.

However, whilst it may have become clear that I don’t rate the player whilst also believing that Mason Mount would do a better job in the heart of our midfield, I am a little worried that my dismissive view on the player doesn’t match the thoughts of those three aforementioned clubs interested in the player.

Have I gauged this correctly or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Please feel free to offer your viewpoint in the comment facility beneath this article.

    • Why rush to see the back of bakayoko!better let lampard assess the guy to give final picture on either retaining him or recomend him to be sold.

  • Judging a player based on one season is unfair Baka is a good player just like conte said its hard to adapt he deserves another chance and with all the games we have coming up we need all the players we have

  • Come on Merlin, he had only one settling in season with us, I honestly believe there’s a top player in there and we ought to persevere with him.
    Get behind the squad

  • I wish Chelsea should welcome back all there loan players to give a good edge this season
They shouldn’t try to sell any player because that may definitely lead to there downfall. Remember, Ronaldo did not perform very well the first season he got to Real Madrid.
Please let us give our players more chance to show case the reason why they were brought ND bought to Chelsea

    • To add to your comment, I think he’s a good player and should be allowed to be with the team especially now that Chelsea can’t sign players. There will still be a window to offload players by January so let us keep as much as we can now.

  • Please let give another players chance not baka again time for conte and sarre all is performance is ero please let give new comas a chance not him again tomuch chance we will letter blame lampard

  • Watching Bakayoko in Monaco was so interesting and promising such that Chelsea fans named him the World’s Best midfielder like they named Alvaro Morata, but the question is what actually went wrong at Chelsea??? Truth is, apart from Ronaldo and Messi, it is very difficult for most players to immediately hit the ground running after swaping clubs especially going to a new club with a different style and a different mentality. Bakayoko was a good midfielder, mayb nkt at Chelsea

  • Bakayoko promises to be a good fit dir CFC and the club should give him a chance
But he must realise that there is no automatic shirt for him unless he merits it.

  • I’m with Analoosh on Baka …. i feel Baka can be the next Yaya Toure if he wants to be … and i would not write off Kenedy either …. if his head gets screwed on straight, he can be a brilliant player. Maybe Lampard can get these two talents going ?
