Well This Has Brought A Smile To The Face Of This Chelsea Fan

|

Being brutally honest, it’s hard to get too excited about some of the players who have returned from a season-long loan and who are hoping to establish themselves as first-team regulars at Stamford Bridge next season.

From my point of view, some should have been moved on years ago whilst others have had their chance and not taken it.

A player that falls into that latter category is Tiemoue Bakayoko.

At 24-years-of-age the time should be right for the French midfielder to step forward and command the centre of the park, but there just isn’t that aura about him.

Therefore, I’m not too desolate to discover that the French media source, rmcsport, is suggesting that Bakayoko is wanted by a trio of clubs with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all getting a mention.

Now my view is that we should move the player on and get as much cash as we can, then stash it in the transfer treasure chest waiting to be spent when the two-window transfer ban is lifted.

However, whilst it may have become clear that I don’t rate the player whilst also believing that Mason Mount would do a better job in the heart of our midfield, I am a little worried that my dismissive view on the player doesn’t match the thoughts of those three aforementioned clubs interested in the player.

Have I gauged this correctly or am I barking up the wrong tree?
