It seems that Arsenal are so desperate to keep Alexis Sanchez out of Chelsea`s hands they`re virtually soiling their pants.

With the Chilean forward having hinted that he wants to remain in London to play his football but wants to play for a club likely to win honours, rumours of a move to Chelsea Football Club have been rife.

However, when it comes to Arsene Wenger and his board having, if the need arises, sell Sanchez, it seems a philosophy of “anyone but Chelsea” exists.

Today, the leading publication the nation has to offer, The Sun, is championing the implication that Wenger is going to call in a few favours from his French mates to ensure that if Sanchez is to leave it is quite possible Paris Saint-Germain will, and not Stamford Bridge, be signing the talented player.

  • We knew he would NOT, just sell him to us, however Sanchez likes London his family are settled here. Wegner is playing a dangerous game as Sanchez could reject PSG and just sit his contract out to leave for free next summer .

  • Agreed @Michael Reid it all depends on what Sanchez wants to do as Arsenal may not have much power to determine where he is headed, could even move on Bosman or free if he run down his one year remaining. If we are to sign him, I guess we need to move one or both of Willian & Pedro depending on whether Hazard stays. Anyhow we got a serious but smart rebuilding in our hands, & hope to get it right. KTBFFH!!!

  • I don’t often speculate on transfers, but I believe very strongly that this one is ours. I will not involve myself in transfer rumours any farther.
